The brief

Rental yards were inspecting units on paper forms and camera rolls. Damage noted at delivery was hard to find when the unit came back, photos never matched up with the form, and disputes came down to whose memory was better.

What we built

We built Walkaround as an offline-first PWA for the people in the yard: big touch targets, a checklist per unit type, required photo angles, and damage marked as numbered pins on a diagram with type, severity and photos. The customer signs on the same phone, a PDF goes out automatically, and the office sees each return side by side with its delivery — new damage highlighted and priced.

Daily run sheet

Each tech’s pre-trips, deliveries and returns for the day, with the next unit, its customer and any damage on file one tap from starting.

Guided checklists

Checklists per unit type, split into sections with pass / fail / N/A toggles sized for gloves, notes, and progress that saves as you go.

Damage markup

Numbered pins on a top-down diagram with type, severity, size and photos — new damage flagged against what was recorded at delivery.

Required photo angles

A shot list per unit — sides, odometer, fuel, VIN — so nothing gets skipped; photos queue offline and upload when there’s signal.

E-signature & PDF report

The customer signs on the phone and a branded PDF goes out with the checklist, damage diagram, photos and both signatures.

Office review

Every inspection in one table, filtered by yard, type, tech and result, with delivery vs return diagrams and an estimated repair cost.
