Askwell
Ask your business a question in plain English — get the answer, the sources, and the next step.
An AI assistant for the whole team: staff ask about customers, jobs and cash in plain English and get answers built from the company’s own systems — with tables, charts, numbered sources, the exact records and query behind each answer, and actions that wait for approval.

The brief
Simple questions — who owes us, how margins are trending, what’s still open this week — meant asking the one person who knew which system to pull from, then waiting for a spreadsheet. Generic chatbots couldn’t see the company’s data, and nobody was comfortable letting one near it without knowing exactly what it read and who could ask what.
What we built
We built Askwell as a standalone assistant on top of a read-only query layer over the company’s ledger, CRM, scheduling system and shared drive. Every answer cites its sources and can show the records and query it used; access follows each person’s team, so people only get answers from data they’re allowed to see. Answers can be pinned to boards that refresh every morning, and anything that would act — like reminder emails — is drafted for a person to approve. Admins see every question in an audit log and set a monthly AI budget.
Plain-English questions
Ask about customers, jobs, margins or cash and get a short answer with a table or chart — across the ledger, CRM, scheduling and shared drive at once.
Sources on every answer
Numbered citations on each answer, and a show-your-work panel with the exact records used and the read-only query that produced them.
Permissions that follow the asker
Access is set per team and per kind of data — full, summary or none — so Askwell only answers from data the person asking is allowed to see.
Actions with approval
Askwell can draft the next step, like reminder emails with the invoices attached. Drafts stay editable, and nothing goes out until someone approves it.
Boards that refresh themselves
Pin any answer to a board. It re-runs every morning with the same question and permissions, so the numbers are current when the team logs in.
Admin, budget & audit log
Connection status for each source, a role-based access matrix, a monthly AI budget with alerts and a hard stop, and a log of every question asked.
