This policy explains what information Avi Technologies collects through this website, why, and what you can do about it. We collect as little as we can, we never sell it, and we only use it to talk to you about work you’ve asked us about.
Who we are
Avi Technologies is a software and web studio based in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada. We are responsible for personal information collected through this website. Questions about privacy go to scoobybuilds@yahoo.com.
What we collect
When you use the contact form
- Your name and email address (required).
- Your company and phone number, if you give them.
- The topic, budget range and message you choose to send.
- The date and time of the enquiry and the IP address it came from, which we use to spot spam.
When you email us directly
Whatever you include in your email, plus your email address.
What we don’t collect
No account sign-ups, no payment details, and no information from social networks. The ROI calculator runs entirely in your browser — the numbers you enter are never sent to us.
Analytics and cookies
We may use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand which pages are useful and to count enquiries. It runs under Google Consent Mode:
- Analytics and advertising cookies are off by default and are only set if you click Accept in the cookie banner.
- If you click Reject (or ignore the banner), no analytics cookies are set. Google may still receive basic, cookieless signals (such as that a page was viewed) that don’t identify you.
- We record events such as “contact form sent”, “email link clicked” and “ROI calculator used”. We never send your name, email, phone or message to Google.
- You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings in the site footer.
The site itself stores one small item in your browser’s local storage — your cookie choice — so we don’t ask again on every page.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry, ask follow-up questions and prepare a proposal or quote.
- To deliver work you’ve engaged us for, if you become a client.
- To keep the site secure and filter spam.
- To improve the site, using aggregated analytics (only if you consented).
We will not add you to a mailing list or send marketing email unless you ask us to, and we never sell or rent personal information.
Who else handles it
We use a small number of service providers, who process information only to provide their service to us:

These providers may store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States and the European Union, where it may be accessible to authorities under local law. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to talk to you about your project, and for up to two years after our last contact, unless you become a client (in which case we keep records as long as the engagement and our legal and tax obligations require). Analytics data is kept for Google Analytics’ standard retention period.
Your choices and rights
Under Canadian privacy law, including PIPEDA and British Columbia’s PIPA, you can:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you, and get a copy.
- Ask us to correct it, or to delete it where we don’t need to keep it.
- Withdraw consent — for example, to analytics, via Cookie settings.
Email scoobybuilds@yahoo.com and we’ll respond within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, the contact form validates and sanitises everything it receives, and enquiries are only accessible to the people who will answer them. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share.
